Greetings Woodlawn Middle Parents and Guardians,

Please see the reminders and updates below for the week of January 14, 2019:

  • MISA Score Reports - 6th Grade students received their 5th grade MISA individual score reports on Thursday, January 10th.  Please ask your child for the report if you have not already received it.
  • Math & Reading Afterschool Program - The WMS Afterschool program began on Tuesday, Jan. 8th.  We still have room for more students.  If your child did not receive a 4 or 5 on PARCC, they are invited to participate in the afterschool program in order to assist in improving their Math and Reading skills. Please contact the school on Monday to enroll your child. Remember, the goal for all students is to achieve a 4 or 5 on PARCC.
  • PTSA Meeting - The monthly PTSA meeting will take place on Monday, Jan. 14th at 6:00 pm in the Library.  The meeting is only one hour.  Please plan to attend.
  • Student Devices - ALL students should bring their devices everyday.  Parents please ensure that your child has their device before leaving home each day so that they can access all the lessons and activities that their teachers have prepared.
  • PE Uniforms - Many of our students are not bringing the required PE uniform on their Physical Education days, which is effecting the overall PE classes and will cause a drop in your child's grade.  Please make sure your child has the required PE uniform. If you need to purchase one, please contact the school office or your child's PE teacher.
  • Cell Phones - This is a reminder that all cell phones are to be off and away during the school day or your child will be in violation of the BCPS Student Handbook.
  • End of Quarter - The end of the 2nd quarter will be Jan. 25th.  School will be dismissed at 11:50 am on that day.

Ms. R. Archelus, Principal
